Gettin' my Grill On! #GrillAmabassdor #GrillMate

I am a McCormick Grill Mates® Grill Ambassador. A what? Bet you didn't know that I like to get my grill on? Oh yes I do, you see I learned ummm last year, that in order to keep the temperature in my house down in the summer that I better learn to grill- and its just not fair to my husband to ask him to do it at 5:30PM with the west sun beating down on our grill.
When Crowdtap introduced the opportunity to apply to be a Grill Ambassador and host a grill party I jumped at the opportunity to try out the new McCormick Grill Mates® seasonings! I couldn't believe I was picked!
We hosted our party today- Memorial Day! What a great day for it. Food, Family & Fun!

I was provided with these five seasonings from McCormick- Yum!

  • Grill Mates® Spiced Brandy & Herb Marinade
  • Grill Mates® Slow and Low Memphis Pit BBQ Rub
  • Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning Blend
  • Grill Mates® Molasses Bacon Seasoning Blend
  • Grill Mates® Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ Sauce

We used the Molasses Bacon rub on the chicken breast.

I made a marinade of oil, vinegar & Montreal Steak seasoning for our ribeye & sirloin.

Steaks are sizzling!

See- I am a GrillMaster!

I love grilled chicken!

Some of the meat- everyone raided the plate before I could get a piled high picture! Isn't that the way it goes?

My plate- chicken, steak, corn on the cob, black eyed peas and potato salad!
Note: there is still some white of the plate left- LOL!

This table didn't even look up for a picture!

Corny Crow loves her food! Check out that plate!

Do you like to grill?
Try out McCormick Grill Mates®. They are found in the seasoning aisle at your local grocery store!

Our Prayer for You this Memorial Day...

Memorial Day is not only about our lost loved ones, but also a day of remembrance for those who have lost their lives serving our country and who are currently serving our country in our National Armed Forces. Life is fragile, each day should be respected and loved, for we know not what tomorrow might bring. Our prayer is that if the reader of this post does not know my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as their personal Savior that they seek further for the truth, please feel free to send us a private e-mail if  we can pray with you. We love you and so does Jesus!

Cowgirls N' Angels- In Theaters May 25, 2012

"Want to know the difference between a cowgirl and an angel?
Angels can't ride as good!"

Miss Kaybrie and I had the opportunity to pre-screen the new movie Cowgirls N' Angels on Thursday. Let me just say my 5 year old sweetheart  is now ready to run off, join the rodeo and become a trick pony rider!
I proved her wrong though the next day when she pointed to a stock trailer and informed me that Papa has one of those "things". I told her she might know her country music, but until she knew what a stock trailer was she was still a city girl!!!
I guess I still better watch her carefully on her bicycle though, thankfully no horses are around our nest at this time. The cowboy boots are slowly appearing though.

"Cowgirls N' Angels is a heartwarming movie that tells the story of Ida, a feisty and rebellious young girl, who has dreams of finding her father, a rodeo rider. While searching for her dad, she connects with the Sweethearts of the Rodeo, a team of young female rodeo riders run by former rodeo star Terence Parker. Recognizing Ida's innate talent for trick riding, Terence recruits her for their ranks. Accepted wholeheartedly by her new "family," Ida finds a new passion that redefines her life, and may also help her find the father she's been searching for."

The movie stars Jackson Rathbone (Twilight) and Bailee Madison (ABC’s Once Upon a Time). We actually got to participate in a Q&A session with them. Very cool!

This story is available in digital book form from Amazon and Barnes and Noble for Kindle, iPad, Nook, PC and other digital devices. Soundtrack available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital music retailers worldwide. Be sure to check out this family film, I know you will enjoy it as much as we did! Also, if you get a chance check out their Facebook page, there may just be a pre-screening available at theater near you. I know K95.5 FM here in Tulsa is offering one on Sunday, May 20 at noon. You might call the station to find out more information and if it is sold out.

Happy Movie Watching!!!

I received an email today from one of the companies that I blog for telling me about some exciting information. I want to make sure that I share it with all of my readers as well! FINALLY God & Gaming come together for the good of charity!!!

And no I will not be trying out. Why? Because I can barely remember these days to put my eyeliner on both eyes, top and bottom lids! I would probably tell them that Moses built the ark!

"The Game Show Network has a new show called The American Bible Challenge. This show will be hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and is from the creators of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Now for the exciting part... they are currently holding casting calls in Sacramento, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta! AND money won on the show goes to the charity organization of the winner's choice!!!"

Be sure to watch this video! I LOVE what Jeff has to say!!!

If you, your family or anyone you might know are interested and might like to try out for the show, you can register here: http://tv.gsn.com/shows/the-american-bible-challenge/casting/

Disclosure: I am not being compensated by this post, just wanted to pass it on! But if you win, I can think of a few great charities to bless....

Through Their Eyes on Mother's Day 2012

I learned a few things about myself today on this Mother's Day 2012.
Things from the eyes of a 5 year old and an 11 year old.
A few things I will use to my advantage.
A few things I will still be baffled about, and a few things I better get in check FAST and start changing.

  1. I think I better teach him to spell my name and correct him on my University- SWOSU might not like their name change. Oh how I love my nickname MomaCrow!
  2. Yes, I do love them very very very much!
  3. I guess I do get rather EMOTIONAL when he plays football. Only 3 more months!!!
  4. He knows my fears. Bugs, not so much. But him getting hurt and tornadoes.
  5. NEEDS- eye opener! Coach Purses, Dresses and THOUSANDS of Diet Cokes.

  1. Wow, she knows my age! And I have raised her right, she would never tell my pounds!
  2. Buffalo Wings?!?!
  3. I always say- "I Love You"!
  4. Once again I really love them!
  5. I ONLY laugh when I'm on the phone. Ouch!

Did you see that Kaybrie and I like to make ART? She made this one for me in school.

Totally using #2 to my advantage!

Hmmm....so I have a Third Eye.
But honestly, they made all of these gifts at school and church so I never saw these items coming!

These are the gifts that I will cherish forever. I love the homemade items. Seeing how I appear through my children's eyes only enforces to me that I am doing the right things in their lives. Happy Mother's Day to all of the women out there who have touched a child's life in some way! Now I must go find a Diet Coke and dream of getting to NYC to fulfill my dreams as a professional writer, but wait an order of Applebees Buffalo Wings does sound good right now.

Dancing Her Dreams

A prima ballerina, that's what I want to be.
When I dance and close my eyes, this is what I see...

White feathers, princess crowns,
Satin shoes, and gorgeous gowns,
I'll be Cinderella and you can be a queen
In the spotlight it's pure magic, dancing your dreams

To be a ballerina takes more than I can say,
Let's go ask someone who knows all about ballet!

White feathers, princess crowns,
Satin shoes, and gorgeous gowns,
Spin on a snowflake or reach across moon beams
In the spotlight it's pure magic, dancing your dreams

New York is the greatest place;
There's so much to see.
Broadway has the brightest lights.
There's Miss Liberty.
King Kong climbed the Empire State
Still the place for me
This is Lincoln Center, it's where I want to be.
-Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen, Dancing Your Dreams

Beautiful Feet's Spring Recital- April 27, 2012
She truly did dance her dreams and made us very proud!
We love you Kaybrie Jayne Crow!
