Start It Out Right Sunday-Week 4

The 4-Crow's, well Mom and the babes, will be out of pocket beginning Sunday for the week. Yep, the Razorback fans are headed to the Hawkeye state! No worries though, our Hog magnet will stay in the Sooner state safe in sound (we are riding with my parents). We will be visiting with my Aunt and Uncle in Sioux City and then on to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to my cousin Jill's wedding on the 4th of July!
Our original plans had included a side trip to Mount Rushmore to see our Presidents carved in stone. Braden is determined to be Ben Gates when he grows up and find all of our country's unfounded "National Treasure", LOL! Not sure that is going to happen now due to six hours extra miles and the status of my ankle, did I mention that Wednesday I was put into a soft cast and crutches- MRI results do not look good, I will be seeing a sports medicine doctor when I return, but hey, surely I can ride in a vehicle and make everyone just as miserable as I do at home, with the exception of Jason, he is the one really getting the vacation!
Anyway my challenge for Start It Out Right Sunday is this:
To have a great week!
To take lots of pictures!
To not yell at the kids!
and....
To be a Godly example to each and every person that I encounter while traveling!
Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Take Me Back Tuesday- My 'Lil Cowboy

Okay, so after seeing "A Giveaway Addicted Mommy's" post for today, I had to share my favorite "BUM" picture of my baby boy! (of course mine is funny where hers is so SERIOUS)
Braden was 14 months old in this picture, he had just gotten out of the shower, threw on his cowboy hat and decided he needed to play with his toys!
BTW, I did ask for permission before I posted this picture, but he is 8 years old now and I am sure in 10 years he will so be ready to KILL me!

Father's Day 2009: The 4-Crow's Way

We slept in, skipped church, yes, had to avoid the crowd due to Moma Crow's gimpy walk! Terrible I know, but there was just absolutely no way I could have made it up and down the halls of TCABC today! The good ole' doc told me that swimming was good, I couldn't see how that was possible, but thought we might give it a try over at my MIL's! She offered up her famous homeade Chicken and Dumplings for Jason's Father's Day lunch, once again I was not even going to try the restaurants today! Yummy lunch, great visit at Grandma's and Jason had a fantastic Father's Day!

Start It Out Right Sunday-Week #3

How do you participate in Start It Out Right Sunday's? Please email The4Crow's, you'll be added as a reader then just play along. All you have to do is grab the button, sign Mr. Linky (hopefully it will work), and share in your blog post how you are gonna Start It Out Right, it can be from the Sermon at Church, the diet you will start, the house you will clean, the amends you will make, just anything to get to Start IT Out Right! Have fun playing along, I look forward to reading each week!

So far since Start It Out Right Sunday's have begun, I have started a new Bible Study, (its going well although I need a good kick of discipline) last week I started a new workout class called Powerful-Hourful Boot Camp for Women, at the end of day 3, my ankle decided that it had had enough and decided to roll and give me a good sprain! I'm out for 2 weeks and probably more, but this next week I will be at the gym working on arms and abs and anything that does not require ankle activity, doctors orders! I have received a great many blessing out of this boot camp though, friendships, encouragement, and an opportunity to conduct a free-lance interview which will appear in Christian Momlogic in the near future with the leader of Powerful-Hourful Miranda Burcham! (I haven't done this since high school, could this be a God-calling?)

A side by side view of my feet! The nurse commented when she took my shoe off that at least I had cute painted toenails! New rule girls, never leave home without clean underwear and cute polished toes! LOL!

I don't think purple and green are my colors!

During my interview Miranda left me with a few verses that haven't left my thoughts. I would like to share this particular one and close my Start It Out Right Sunday with it!

Proverbs 16:9
The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.

Take Me Back Tuesday- The Man I Never Knew

Jimmy D. Crow

This post is for my husband Jason. I love you.
This post is in celebration of a man whom I never had the privilege of meeting. The man whom I have been told would have absolutely adored me and my children. The man who absolutely adored his baby boy, "Tiger" Crow, otherwise know as Jason, my husband.
Jimmy D. Crow was born May 19, 1939, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. He was raised on a farm and graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1957. He attended Arkansas Technical University before moving to Tulsa in December of 1959.
Jim began his career in the automobile business by selling used cars for his uncle. In 1965, he co-founded Crow Brothers Toyota, which he owned and operated for 37 years. He sold the business in September 2002. He passed away on November 7, 2002 after as a result of an aneurysm and a brief battle with Leukemia.
From what I have been told, this man loved his family, was a fantastic business man, and a friend to all! I am very truly sorry that I never had the privilege to meet this man, but I know that the people who did, loved him very much!

Start It Out Right Sunday- Week #2

How do you participate in Start It Out Right Sunday's? Please email The4Crow's, you'll be added as a reader then just play along. All you have to do is grab the button, sign Mr. Linky (hopefully it will work), and share in your blog post how you are gonna Start It Out Right, it can be from the Sermon at Church, the diet you will start, the house you will clean, the amends you will make, just anything to get to Start IT Out Right! Have fun playing along, I look forward to reading each week!

This past week I started a new study at TCABC's Spa for the Soul.

The 6-week Bible study, “Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David”, features video from the Deeper Still Event with Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore & Kay Arthur. You’ll laugh with them, cry with them, and learn to love God with them. These authors' messages are divided into three segments, two lessons each. Each segment focuses on the life of David at a different stage of his life: as a young man (by Priscilla Shirer), as a middle-aged man (by Beth Moore), and as a man facing the final third of his life (by Kay Arthur). You won’t want to miss this awesome time of worship and time in the Word of God.

There is still plenty of room and the class is only $15, which covers the cost of the book, come join me!

Now for my Start It Out Right Sunday- Each day I have homework-well, we are supposed to read our Bible's daily, correct! So, through the first class and thus far in my study here are a few things that I have jotted down and highlighted!

1. It is not about "ME", but about God's power working in and through me.

2. I have to quit being a donkey. No really, I must quit being so headstrong, start listening to God and let God lead me! (an analogy used in class this week, it hit home)

You did not choose Me, but I chose You.
John 15:16

Now that is a powerful verse!

So to continue my week, I will be reading my lessons EVERY day and starting a new workout class at First Baptist this week on M&W (this is a Godsend and a l8r post)!

Have a great week, can't wait to read everyone else's Start It Out Right Sunday Post's!

What? Is it Possible that Daddy Crow is Back in Moma Crow's Bed..

Did the title of this post get your attention? Well, it should and no, I am not sharing TMI! Since our darling Kaybrie's arrival in the Crow's Nest over two glorious years ago, Daddy Crow has been on the couch. Face it, nursing for 13 1/2 months was easier with the darling next to her mommy and restful nights have been a must for the remainder! But, all babies must leave the nest or their mommy's bed at some point, Braden was in my bed until Jason and I married, and he was 4! Face it, I enjoy co-sleeping. But, I also do not want to be in the market for a new couch or a new back for my darling husband! I understand that the replacement back's are very expensive! LOL!
So, thanks to Great Aunt Nora , Cousin Vicki, and Grandma, we managed to put together Kaybrie's big girl bed! Let me tell you, she is PROUD! We have not had one argument out of her over napping or spending the night in it, of course we are only into our second night, please God don't let me have just jinxed our household!
Putting the bed frame together was fun. The Headboard and Footboard was actually Kaybrie's Crib-or should I say decor for her room, because I don't think the child ever even napped in her baby bed. Kaybrie "helped" her Daddy, by placing the screws and taking the screwdriver from him telling him "I fix it, Daddy!" Quite the little helper she is, and might I add a bit headstrong!

I ♥ Pink & Brown!

Well, does she look like she ♥'s it?

Here is proof that she has slept in her new bed!

(This was her 1st nap in it!)

Happy 3rd Birthday- Rowdy Zaine

Rowdy Zaine Palmer-June 2009- Boggy Depot Park, Atoka, OK

You can tell by looking at this nephew of mine that he is a little out of his element, he usually has his cowboy boots on and his blue jeans! His mom, my sister Stephanie, dressed him up a little bit for the annual Dillard-Tomlinson family reunion! But, take a look he still managed to find a stick! He truly is an All-American Boy! "Blue" as his Papa Bruce calls him is the cutest thing and if you don't believe it, you just need to sit and talk with him a bit! His fish get bigger and so do the guns. And oh my, what a little dare devil he is.....he already rides a big boy bike, a 16" to be exact, and is working on conquering a small battery powered dirt bike much to his Nana's (and all of our) dismay! When I say sit and talk, I mean sit and talk, his southern Oklahoma accent will have you swooning, I sure wish I had it on video! For his 3rd birthday this year the Crow family got him a Car's backpack and some white Hanes undershirts just like his Papa Bruce's, and boy is he the "man"! And yes, when he turns 10 and Papa gets him his cell phone, his ringtone will be John Deere Green or She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy- the boy is truly obsessed ever since his Sissy got her cell phone, LOL! (although I can only imagine what the ringtones will be in 7 years)

Happy Birthday Rowdy Zaine, I Love You!

Take Me Back Tuesday- Me & My Daddy

June is for weddings, picnic's, swimming, summer camps, just about anything you want it to be...The 4-Crow's is going to feature "Daddy's" for the Take Me Back Tuesday's and most importantly to celebrate Father's Day! We will begin with the author's (my) Daddy!

The first picture was taken in the Fall of 1975, I was almost, if not already 1 year old! Wasn't I just the cutest thing? And don't you just love my Daddy's Elvis do and sideburns? He even has that cool little snarl doesn't he? I am extremely blessed to still have my Daddy and that my children have an awesome Papa. The second picture was taken this past weekend! I love you Daddy! Happy Father's Day!

Start It Out Right Sunday- Introduction & Week 1

How do you participate in Start It Out Right Sunday's? Please email The4Crow's, you'll be added as a reader then just play along. All you have to do is grab the button, sign Mr. Linky (hopefully it will work), and share in your blog post how you are gonna Start It Out Right, it can be from the Sermon at Church, the diet you will start, the house you will clean, the amends you will make, just anything to get to Start IT Out Right! Have fun playing along, I look forward to reading each week!

I am a Christian! I am proud to tell each and every one of my readers that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I am NOT a preacher, although I am happy to say that my little 6'6" brother has been one now for almost 3 years...I'm not perfect, I have to be honest, every now and then a four letter word does come out of my mouth and I'll even tell you the word-S**T, I really like to say it when I stub my toe to the point it feel like you have broken it! LOL!

My one year blogoversary is coming up soon. During this time of blogging I have met many friends and have learned many tricks. I still have lots to learn, like I made the above button, but how do I get the html box below it? I love the different and unique ways of doing "things" around the blogospere especially the "Meme's". I've researched around and could not find the title "Start It Out Right Sunday", so if you do find it, I apologize deeply and prayerfully ask that no one sue me, because really I am poor, husband is currently unemployed and currently all we have is the roof over our head and two beautiful kids, oh we have Jesus-you can have Him!

So, why the name, Start It Out Right Sunday? Sunday is the 1st day of the week. The
first thing we do on Sunday mornings, or should, as Christians is go to church to hear God's Word and Worship our King! For me, if I don't do this, my entire week is shot to pieces! Once I've gotten The Word, I can then make plans for the entire week and get things done! This is gonna be kind of like a grocery list for us to plan our week on what we want to accomplish and a post for us to reflect back on to see what we really did accomplish, it can also be a time for us to put our inspirational thoughts down for our friends and family to read, you all have these thoughts, whether religious or not! This can be anything you want to put down that gives you an opportunity to get your week Started Out Right, and you never know, you might just make someone's day or week! I look forward to reading your posts and so does everyone else!

My Start It Out Right Sunday is like this. Started the week Out Right by going to church this morning, fantastic sermon in Ephesians 1:3-14 with an ending/beginning on not losing Your First Love! God is Most Worthy! Regardless of what is going on, we should Praise Him, for He poured out His kindness, He Chose us, He adopted us (can't be undone), He game us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee that He will give us all He promised! With that said, Braden will be going to VBS this week and it just so happens that where he is going is where I work out so, guess who will be working out 5 days this week.....how is that for my Start It Out Right Sunday? Can't wait to ready yours! Have a great week!
