Three LifeSongs-Revised (I did not delete it)

"It's been said that worship is the soundtrack for the story of God, a soundtrack that we've been invited to join in. Melodies sometimes soar as we celebrate the victories of life; while at other times we sing a melancholy tune of hope and faith in the midnight hour. But ultimately, everything in life and eternity is about God's greatness, glory, and grace. And there will never be a more compelling score than the anthem of our lives playing out a song of praise that echoes through eternity." This has been the theme of the last three Sundays at our church- TCABC! I encourage you to click on the link and listen to a least today's LifeSong!
Warning this post is going to be long! But a read that is going to require a Kleenex or two!
First, I am going to start w/ own personal LifeSong! Anyone who knows my complete life story knows that I cannot for reasons of hurting other people place in print the details that have shaped me into the woman I have become today, however I am not ashamed in a small group to give my testimony. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 9yrs old. I made my decision in Vacation Bible School that Summer of 1984. Church was my refuge as a child, my safe place, the place I could go to "pretend" that everything was okay in my life, because it was. It WAS with God! I couldn't wait to get out of the town I lived in so that I could get out of my "life". I went to college, 3 hours away, full scholarship, excelled, worked, graduated in 3 1/2 yrs, met a BOY, emphasis on the capitalization.... I still had God, had escaped my "life", but never found a church in college, it wasn't home. Long story short, found a career, married that boy, yes we were members of a church and met wonderful friends, started a family, and ended in a divorce. Details for small group as well. The moment my divorce was final, I went to TCABC. January of 2004. Here I was a single mother, walking into that service that morning towing my 3yr old, I wasn't about to take him into childcare, he was my distraction and protection. I think he broke the air control box cover that 1st Sunday. The next time, he went to childcare. That Summer, I took Denise's class; by Fall, I was in Divorce Care; in November I met Jason in Divorce Care (I think that was against the rules of the class); on November 28, 2004 I stood as a Single Parent and dedicated Braden to God for myself to raise him according to God's plan. In January 2005, Jason asked me to marry him and we were married in May of that year. I gave birth to Kaybrie in January of 2007 and Jason and I stood together before God, family and friends and dedicated her on November 25, 2007. All the while TCABC has been such a foundation for us. No we are not perfect members. We don't tithe as we should. We don't serve as we should. But I know that I am where God wants me to be. I love our church and my prayer from this sermon series is that my LifeSong grows stronger and that God will demand that I be used for his glory and grace.

Second part, please stay w/me! So right now I could just kick myself, my little brother, okay he's younger by 4yrs...was ordained on May 17, 2009 and I videoed it w/ my camera but I have deleted it! Included in the video was the ordination questions about his salvation story, very very touching! I guess God just wants Jason Scott to tell his LifeSong himself! Well, miracles can happen, I found the video! Check out the bottom of the post! I love you, Jason and am so proud of you! May God Bless You & Your beautiful family!

3rd LifeSong-Letter to Braden!

Dear Braden,
I am attaching my status update on Facebook for you today, May 29, 2009. My prayer is that one day you will take out this blog post and know how proud I am of you and your decision that you made to ask Jesus into you heart today. I also copied and pasted each comment that was made in response to my post. This shows that you will always have Christian brothers and sisters that pray for you each day. I love you and always know that I am here for you and that you are not alone. I had your Uncle Jason take the above picture of you on your special day! Your Salvation Day!

GNO @ Riverwalk w/ Francesca Battistelli

My kiddos are out of town this week, Braden on his annual fishing trip with my Daddy and Kaybrie with my Moma, so I'm getting a little R&R-hmm, I think it takes more than two days to figure out exactly what that is! Anyway, last night was the kickoff of the KXOJ's (local Christian radio station) Summer Concert Series at the Riverwalk in Jenks and the featured artist were Jonny Diaz and Francesca Battistelli! Anyone who has followed The 4-Crow's blog for long has heard Francesca, I love, love, love her music!
So, guess where my friend Angie and I went last night?

Check us Out! "The Golden Girls"

(that's our ringtone for each other)

The Arkansas River is so pretty!

I love this picture, talk about Spirit filled, over 2000 people in attendance. See the girl in the background-Wow!

You know, Francesca reminds me a little bit of Miley Cyrus in her looks, this girl has a bright future ahead of her, and is a great role model for all young girls and even Mom's like me! May God Bless her and all who come into contact with her music!

And yes, I paid the $15 parking ticket to the City of Jenks! Honestly, though, when at least 500 other cars are parked the same way, I really feel that an injustice has been done. Is the city just trying to make a month end quota off of a free concert? Thank you for letting me get that off of my chest! I love the Constitution of the United States of America!

Take Me Back Tuesday- Happy Anniversary Daddy & Moma

Without these two people- The 4-Crow's would not exist!

Thought I would share a more recent picture!

(although not too recent, 2002, geez what's with couples & getting pictures taken together, come on America show some lovin', some cheezin', pleeze grace society with a mug shot now & then!)

Not too bad folks, 3 kiddos ranging from almost 35 to almost 30, 9 grandkids with one a baking courtesy of the almost 30yr old. I'm thinking that my parents are looking good. I love you Daddy & Moma. Happy Anniversary!

Memorial Day 2009

I have never been one to visit the cemetery during Memorial Day, however this particular Memorial Day, along with my Moma, Kaybrie, niece Jadyn and nephew Rowdy, I did. For me it is a feeling of sadness and great joy. Sadness, because of the unvisited and uncared for graves. Joy for the souls that are not there and that will one day soon be called to meet their bodies. I think it is all summed up in the following song by Chris Tomlin:

"I Will Rise"

I will rise when He calls my name

No more sorrow, no more pain

I will rise on eagles' wings

Before my God, fall on my knees

And rise

I will rise..

Memorial Day is not only about our lost loved ones, but also a day of remembrance for those who have lost their lives serving our country and who are currently serving our country in our National Armed Forces. Life is fragile, each day should be respected and loved, for we know not what tomorrow might bring. My prayer is that if the reader of this post does not know my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as their personal Savior that they seek further for the Truth, please feel free to send me a private e-mail if I can pray with you. I love you and so does Jesus!

Take Me Back Tuesday- Wedding Day

Here it is, the "official" wedding portrait! Yep, if you watch Regis & Kelly, you have heard Kelly Ripa talk all about her Las Vegas wedding. And, she is not joking. For a grand total of $200.13, Jason and I got a preacher, limo, professional wedding portraits, a wedding planner, flowers, witness, wedding certificates and The Little White Wedding Chapel. Gotta love the whole Las Vegas wedding chapel experience. Ridiculous props in the background of the wedding photos, the columns, the fake ivy, cheesy photo poses while the limo driver is snapping away a roll of 24 exposure 35mm film to hand you once the vows are said, reminding you to make sure you pay the $35 to have it developed in the hotel gift shop before you leave Las Vegas, because the airport scanners could possibly ruin the happiest day of your life.
All joking aside about the experience, it truly was the happiest day of my life and I would not have had it any other way 4 years ago today. Vegas was the perfect way for Jason and me to share this moment in our lives together!
Thank you God for placing us into each other lives and blessing us with two wonderful healthy children, a beautiful home, families that love us and friends that surround us. We also thank you God for our wonderful church, The Church At Battle Creek where we met! Amen!
And God as a side note if you see fit, I really would like for all of my family and friends (of course they have to pay their own way) to fly with us to Hawaii in six years to renew our wedding vows, where my darling brother who was ordained on Sunday will officiate the renewal of the vows and I will be barefoot on the beach! Amen!
By the way, did I mention in Vegas that I wore Flip Flops to get hitched in? They were so cute! And Celine simply Rocked!
Happy Anniversary Honey, I Love YOU!

Snappin' Memories

One of my memories as a girl was of helping my Aunt Gracie and my Grandma Emma snappin' green beans and peas! Today, we went over to my MIL's house and while visiting she took out some fresh green beans and started snappin' them. Kaybrie who had never seen this done before, immediately went over and started helping, it was so stinkin' cute! Of course, Grandma is gonna have to go through the beans before cooking, but what a little helper and I am so glad that I could catch this memory on film! And now, she has no excuse in the future when I am ready for a pot of green beans and new potatoes because I know that she knows how to snap them! LOL!

Mother's Day Weekend 2009

Friday Night the kids and I got our "Crow" on and went to the Annual Rooster Days Celebration in Broken Arrow to see a dear friend clog. Our dear sweet baby Kaybrie surprised us by wanting to go onto the stage during freestyle dance. She said "Mommy, me go dance" and up she went all by herself! Check her out! Could she possibly have a future?
(you'll have to silence the playlist at the bottom of the blog)

Saturday morning, we went to lake Eufaula to a baby shower. While there we got to visit w/ family and take the boat out on the lake.
Braden driving the boat-Son, please look ahead at all times! LOL!

Kaybrie was not to be outdone by her big brother, she had to drive also! She is pictured with my Uncle Monk, its his boat and home we went too!

Sunday, Mother's Day, can anyone tell me why I do not have any pictures of me w/ my kids? Could it possibly be because I am always the one taking the pics? Anyway, I'm not much one for pics of myself, so I thought I would share pics of the gifts I received from my children! Aren't these just the most precious and priceless gifts?

Braden brought me home this lovely Marigold that he made at school. He decorated the container himself with a rainbow and a picture of himself. The note on it says: "Dear mom, you are alsome and Thank you for Being mom Love Braden"

Here is Kaybrie's gift. She made it in Sunday School. The poem says:

Mother

When God Made mothers, He took great care, To fill their hearts with love so rare. Their children are their greates prize; You can see the great love in your mother's eyes.
