A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song- A Giveaway~ Closed

Cyrano De Bergerac meets Cinderella. Over-worked, harried and terrified of being put back in foster care, 17 year old Katie (Lucy Hale, Pretty Little Liars) does her stepmother and step-siblings' bidding without complaining. Vocally gifted, Katie feels particularly upset when forced to lay down singing tracks so that her untalented stepsister, Bev Van Ravensway, can hopefully win a recording contract from Massive Records - who's company President, Harvey Morgan, is scouting for new spectacular talent at a talent showcase for the Performing Arts Department at a prestigious private school. Written by ABC Family.

Yes another Cinderella story, this makes #3, but hey I personally love a good story/musical that says go out and get what you want without all the fairy tale makings. (purely my own opinion and no I haven't seen this particular one yet)

I have teamed up with Partners Hub to offer one of my readers their very own copy of A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song. Partners Hub has designed the coolest clickcast widget in which to help promote the September 6, 2011 release. The following details tell you all about the widget!

Write Your Own Cinderella Story! Take our interactive quiz and make your own musical fairytale come true!

Lip Sync Music Video Contest! Film a short YouTube video to the sounds of Lucy Hale’s song “Run This Town.” Dress up! Be creative!
Achieve Your Dreams PDF! Download “Top 10 Ways to Stand Bright” and write your own goals!

A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song! Sneak a peek of the Cinderella Story Three trailer!

Stars of the Movie! Check out Lucy Hale take the quiz and Freddie Stroma and the gang lip sync along to the song!

Hidden behind the veil of the fun content (much like that pesky carrot juice hiding behind the great taste of the banana and orange smoothie!) is a subtle, perhaps subconscious, message to your kids that says anything is possible if they follow their dreams. To help deliver this message through fun and enriching content, PartnersHub has teamed up with the Confidence Coalition, a national movement geared towards promoting self-esteem and confidence among girls and women.

Now which one of my readers wants their very own copy of this DVD?

I'm going to make this easy. I only want ONE comment telling me FOUR things!!!! And if you are not on twitter I won't hold it against you.... Make sure you leave me an email address so I can contact you.

1. You visited the widget!
2. You follow me here at The 4-Crow's!
3. You follow me on Twitter!
4. You tweeted the Giveaway!

Disclosure: All opinions stated are my own and based upon my own personal experience. I will receive no compensation for this post. The winners name will be selected through random.org on September 7, 2011 and will be contacted via email.

In My Neck of The Woods- Tulsa Firehouse 23 Tour

For this week's Neck of the Woods, I'll show you a little tour that my nest got the privilege to take. Very humbling and enlightening experience for my entire household. I greatly admire all of our service personnel- fire, police, military and their families, who make it their mission on a daily basis to serve, protect and risk their lives daily for us.
God Bless ALL of You and Thank You!

Firefighter Buddy, who is Daddy Crow's first cousin showed the Crow kiddos around the firehouse where he works this past Saturday after Braden's first football game. I think both of my kids now have aspirations to fight fires, serve and protect, and help those in emergency situations.

Here they are perched aboard Ladder 23- this is Buddy's truck. A 65' ladder. Wow!

Uh oh, all geared up. She wants to be a firefighter girl. I think she resembles E.T.
Braden actually got to put on ALL the gear including oxygen mask. This is my favorite picture though. Yep, I think he looks rather handsome. Note the soot on the visor. Scary.

See how Kaybrie is not afraid to try anything....she went back for a second light show and knew exactly which buttons to push!

That's what happened at my nest this week, what is going on in your neck of the woods? Inquiring housewives like myself want to know. Be sure to link up at The RHOK today!

Also, if you haven't entered yet I have giveaway going on here at The 4-Crow's that ends on the 31st. Make sure you enter here!

is at The RHOK! Yes, I'm writing as Mrs. Hart today and am showing my heart big time!

Here is an excerpt....

Dear Baby Boy Son,
Today you leave for your first day of school without me seeing you off. Only what you don't know is I am always with you even though I don't get to physically see you step onto that school bus. I am really glad Grandma is there to watch you and take a picture for me. Your first day of your last year in Elementary School. The last year I get a chance to be homeroom mom. Oh how I secretly pray no one else volunteers- even though it means one more thing I add to my plate of things to volunteer for. My little boy is growing up....

Make sure you click the above link to read the rest. This is a post that you DO NOT want to miss reading especially if you are a mom! Get a kleenex!  Have a great day!

Who is starting 5th Grade on Thursday, weighs in close to a buck ten, is all arms and legs and is eating me out of house and home? No not DeMarcus Ware that plays for the Dallas Cowboys-he weighs a lot more.

WooHoo! Oh yeah that's what this football Moma is talking about! I love me some pigskin fo' sho'!

This picture of Braden was taken on August 20, 2011 at the Locust Grove scrimmages-  2011 jerseys are not in use!

My Neck of The Woods- Kaybrie Goes to Pre-K

My baby girl started Pre-K at ILCAP yesterday!

First, the Moma Crow got crafty with another Crow Creation this weekend.
What do you think?
A little, Peace Love & Pre-K Bling for my Girl!

Then she woke up on Monday morning and insisted on straight hair, with french braids on both sides!

I insisted she hold the cute little "First Day" sign that I found through Pinterest on HowDoesShe?.
Don't worry, Braden will be doing the same- only with a 5th grade on it.
I apologize HDS, my printer was out of ink and for some reason it will ONLY print shades of blue w/ no cute backgrounds! So if any of my readers decide to do this yours will be 100x cuter!

And of course I have to get my little cover girl modeling with her hands upon her hips!

And...I will show you what she learned on the first day of school! Why didn't I keep teaching her sign language? Better yet, I guess our entire Nest better get to learning!

Now it's your turn. What is going on in your neck of the woods? Inquiring housewives like myself want to know! Link up today at The RHOK!

"Something Borrowed" DVD Giveaway! Closed

Have you read the novel Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin? What about the sequel Something Blue?
I have. And even drug my hubs to see the Something Borrowed movie the weekend it hit theaters! It did not dissappoint! He LOVED it also! I really really hope they make me a movie out of Something Blue.

Something Borrowed , a Warner Bros. romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin, is being released to DVD on August 16, 2011. The movie stars Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Darcy (Kate Hudson). Rachel and Darcy have been longtime friend. However, their relationship is turned upside down and inside out once Rachel (Ginnifer) has an affair with Darcy’s (Kate) fiancé. Definitely a roller coaster friendship/romance. A must see!!

The Something Borrowed Clickcast widget is a fun widget that shows you a trailer of the movie, an upcoming event including Emily Giffin and a a fun quiz! You definitely want to take the quiz on relationships to see how you rank with the rest of the nation. To see the widget click here!

Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesdays

It's Wednesday and yes, its been two weeks since I've linked up- sorry my friends, I promise I'm still Pinning and still addicted, just crazy busy...I think my first pin will explain it. No really. This is the slogan for the next event, that the blog The RHOK- where I write as Mrs. Hart, is hosting on August 16. How cool is that? It is at il Baccio here in Tulsa. The cost of the event is $5 with a school donation for the John 3:16 Mission. You can even purchase a t-shirt with the below RHOK Out slogan on it! Just click on the below pin!

Busy.
Football, Work, getting ready for back to school and of course

I am also doing MyFitnessPal.com! 1200 Calories a day. Yes there is an app for that and guess what, its another social network- I'm CrowMoma2 if you wanna start encouraging each other on our fitness journeys!

I mentioned football above. Well, Oklahoma has seen some HOT temperatures! I had a dashboard reading of 120* last week. In my in-service training the other day they recommended cold packs under the armpits if a player has heat exhaustion. Have you seen the little cold packs at the sports stores? I wonder if this is the same. I'm willing to try if it will save me some $! Anything to cool my boy down to prevent over heating.

And of course, I pinned a recipe..or ten! This one is a Three Meat Casserole Pizza. I can't wait to try it. Okay, just a small piece with a HUGE salad. I am sure my family, or at least my husband and son will love it!

Have a great week and if you aren't already pinning away at Pinterest let me know and I'll get you an invite. I would love for you to follow me! My button is on the right side of my blog!
Don't forget to link up today at The Vintage Apple!

In My Neck of The Woods

At my nest this week...MOM things/Me Week!
Yep, my nest is pretty much resolving around Moma Crow.
I am doing my in-service training at work. The kids are out of school, but I am certainly working doing training and cleaning for the 2011-2012 year. On Monday I became officially certified by the American Heart Association in CPR! I had CPR in both high school and college, but it is amazing how much you forget. I highly recommend that any of my readers look into this. The AHA is a great organization. They support the Go Red for Women Campaign and if you become certified and move out of state, your certification follows you, unlike local certifications. Check into it on their site!
Most of you know that I LOVE me some football- especially when it comes to watching my little man play! I am now serving the second year as our team's treasurer. We take pride in our BA Black Tigers family! Monday night we had  mom's night out with the mom's on our team. We met at Chili's in BA! We chatted. Ate. And of course there were door prizes involved. Three of them. Two pairs of FlipFlops that I made and a necklace that Ms. Ann made- sorry Ann I didn't get a picture.
The door prizes were won based on votes tallied by the individual mom's based on creative name tags. The tags had to meet the following criteria.

1. The Mom's Name
2. Their Player's Name
3. Be Creative

Me & Kortney-the Team Mom, one of my BFF's!
Before one of us finishes thinking of it, the other one does it, that's just how we roll and throw!

My nametag- oops, I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. I  sewed Braden's name on it in beads and had a daisy behind it and of course had it hung around my neck on my BA lanyard! The $130?- LOL, what else but our team dues.

We gave away a pair of Tata FlipFlops of course!

And of course we gave away a pair of BA Tiger FlipFlops.
Go BA Tigers!!!
That's what is going on in my neck of the woods this week. I am so ready for Friday. First football scrimmage! Go BA Black!!
So tell us at The RHOK what is going on in your neck of the woods. We want to know!

My Neck of The Woods-Are You Ready For Some Football?

If not, TOUGH. It's August and it's here.
Even at 108*!!!
Oh yeah baby, it's Oklahoma and we are hanging tough!
If you don't believe me just take a look at my boy on his first night of practice!

(BTW, they have cancelled the 2nd night of practice due to extreme heat conditions,
Yep heat indexes reaching as high as 120*)

That's what is going on in my neck of the woods, what about yours?
Make sure you link up today at The RHOK, inquiring housewives like myself want to know!
