WW: Ballet Booties

I just had to share this picture! Braden my nine year old actually snapped it of Kaybrie (right) and her friend, of course he was going for the feet... Yes, I know they don't have their tights on. It's summer and  our lessons are held in a garage transformed studio. I am teaching the girls the "proper" way to wear their leotards!

MckLinky Monday: My Ideal Vacation

The RHOK

While Mrs. McGillicutty is sweating away on a Florida beach in absolute misery watching her children build sandcastles, with visions of snow capped mountains in her head, the rest of us are probably in Oklahoma wishing we had her life right now!!

What is my idea of a vacation?

I got married here.

Had my 1st Anniversary here, and got pregnant. No, not at the statue, but in Eureka Springs!

Celebrated my 3yr Anniversary here on a cruise ship in the Bahamas....

....and now that I've been married 5yrs, I'm ready for...

Mexico
(but, that may have to wait until year 7)

and at year 10...

Hawaii!!!

That's a few of my idea's, wonder what my husband thinks?

What is your idea of a Vacay? Link up at The RHOK and tell us?

WW: "MY" Girls

Starting this week, I am now a WAHM that does not get paid by just the change found in the washing machine anymore! Yes, I can now add a new title to my resume',  Childcare Diva!

I thought I would share a picture of  "MY" Girls!

Harleigh my little blondie will be 3 on August 24th and Emersyn the little redhead was born on March 9th!
They are such wonderful little girls! Kaybrie and I are loving it!

BTW, in this picture we are sitting in the **** recliner, I finally found a use for it! LOL!

MckLinky Monday: I'm a Kitchen

The RHOK

Today's MM is brought to us by Mrs. Priss, she loves quizzes!!! Make sure you take this one and link back up at The RHOK!!

You Are Most at Home in the Kitchen

You're the type of person who finds a lot of comfort in your home. You love to take care of yourself and others.
Your home is welcoming and open to all. You love entertaining guests and making them feel a part of the family.
There's nothing like spending an afternoon in the kitchen, whipping up treats for you and your loved ones.
You believe that the simple things in life can be the most enjoyable. You like give your time and love to people.

Did we ever seriously doubt that? If I were on a football field they would call me Refrigerator II right? It seems I'm always shopping and stocking the pantry and filling the refrigerator to feed my family.
And there is nothing I love more than entertaining and throwing a huge party. I have already started planning Daddy Crow's big 40th birthday bash in September! We are doimg it block party style in my driveway!

MckLinky Monday: Strange Remedies!

The RHOK

Mrs. Sinclair invites The RHOK readers today to share their weirdest ever home remedies. Of course many of these remedies have been passed down from generations to generations and who knows, maybe some of us had some great horse doctors in our families. It is funny though, she and I were both on Twitter one night and I knew she had just recovered from a fever blister and of course I was beginning to get one. So, I thought I would be funny and gross and asked her if she knew any other cures except for ear wax and Abreva! She said dump the Abreva and go for the ear wax! Seriously, she knew that one? Then we must do a RHOK post on this! So here are my other cure all's!

1. Peanut Butter gets Bubble Gum out of Hair!
2. Whiskey, Lemon Juice, Diet Dr. Pepper and Honey, just a tsp of all cures a cough! (yes, my parents did this on me as a child and I turned out fine, if anyone tries this on a child at home don't tell. P.S. I honestly haven't tried it yet!!)
3. Put tobacco on a insect sting, especially a wasp or bee. -just heard this one!
4. If you have an ingrown toenail, put a piece of floss or thread under the nail.
5. For a stye in the eye, rub a gold ring on it! I think its supposed to be 14K or more!
6. Natural tan- baby oil and iodine (I miss this one)
7. Best hair highlights- lemon juice
8. To cure a zit fast, put toothpaste on it.
9. For stubborn tooth removals, tie a string around it and slam the door- OUCH! Or try pliers!
10. My DH worked w/ a man named Fred Packam who had a cure all- Alka Seltzer, even for car engines! He was in the car business for 40+ years!

These are just a few that I know of, I am sure there are many others that I know of and have forgotten. Make sure you link up at The RHOK and read everyone else's!

The question is:
Freedom. Take a stroll down memory lane. What was your First Taste of Freedom? When did you actually get it? If you have children, will you do things the same or differently than your parents?

You are so gonna want to read this one, its about the summer before I turned 16. It involves trees, ratios, and boys!!

Rowdy's 4th!

I thought I would share this picture with you that I snapped at my nephew Rowdy's 4th birthday party on June 12th! My sister branded this boy when she named him. She should have instantly taken him to the tattoo parlor upon his arrival, LOL! I also think it is appropriate for this 234th birthday of our great country!

Happy 234th Birthday USA! I am so proud to be an American, very proud of those who have fought to make me free and even prouder to be a Christian, whose Savior paid the ultimate price to set me free for an eternal life in heaven!
