Braden fell off of a scooter at After Care the day before Kaybrie was born when he was six....

....and Kaybrie age 2 1/2 was running/hopping in our driveway last night in her flip flops!

I am wondering which of my children will break the first bone or be the first to have stitches?

Take Me Back Tuesday- Meet My Sister Stephanie, Her Family & My New Nephew

My sister Stephanie is 5 years and 4 days younger than me! She's a Halloween Baby! To be honest, I don't think I really wanted her, but now I couldn't live without her! We live 3 hours apart and are as different as night and day! I'm Miss Socialite, she's Miss Stay in the Dark!

This is my favorite pic of her, her Senior Picture in 1998

This picture was taken this past June, before....

...she added this little guy yesterday!

My 1st Rock Concert and We Rocked It!

I'm an 80's child, and with graduating from H.S. in 1992, I did sneak in my share of Def Leppard, Poison and Bon Jovi- and I mean I SNUCK and LISTENED! I don't think my parents ever knew what I listened to with my friends while we drug main and during sleepovers. I was not a wild child by far, I believed up until, hmmm maybe the year I married Jason that my Daddy had spies everywhere, and I'm even a college graduate with ten years of banking behind me and two kiddos.

My DH, Jason, also shares my love for these groups........he graduated in 1989! So, when we found out that Def Leppard, Poison, & Cheap Trick were coming to the BOK Center in Tulsa, I jumped all over those tickets with the hopes of jumping all over Bret Michaels, LOL! We went with Jason's best friend from high school, Tom and his wife Angie. Tom and Jason have somehow remained best friends after 20 years, God only knows how! It has to be God, because Angie has become my best friend as well!

Me & Angie- both 1992 graduates, aren't we hot momma's!
Warning to our Husbands: Keep very tight leashes on us!

Jason, Tom & Angie

Bret Michaels

Bootylicious Babe!
How could I not put this shot in? Those are designer jeans w/ studs on them! Fitting for such a STUD!

Joe Elliot w/ Def Leppard

Joe Elliot & Phil Collen

Rick Allen- the most phenomenal drum player ever!
We had a Rockin' great time! I don't think I have ever sang, danced and moved so much in my life! My ribs and rear actually hurt the next day! My 1st Rock Concert was one I will never forget!

Did you ever really think about this: "if we really got what we deserve, we wouldn't want it?" - Thank goodness God offers Grace to us instead!

Okay, so I'll be honest today's Start it Out Right wasn't my idea, but instead came from my friend Marilee's FB update- but boy did it get me to thinking.....What about you?

How do you play along? We all have tons of photos from the days before the digital camera. I figure if I just scan a few each week, eventually I will get them all safely into my computer.Every week you can come back here and share photos that "take you back." Maybe it is the bad hair we all had in the 80's or the bell-bottoms you swore were so hip in the 70's. Whatever you want to share! If you decide to participate, sign the Linky from the blog above and she promises to head on over and spread some comment love your way!

Today is my nephew Seth's 9th birthday, he was born weighing 2lbs, 10oz and 15 inches long to read Seth's entire story please go to my SIL's blog! The above picture was taken while he was in the hospital. Seth is from August to December older than Braden and they both came home from the hospital within days of each other. Seth is such a blessing! He always has a big smile and hug for you and is always telling you that he loves you! I am a very proud Aunt! Seth has a team for the March of Dimes that walks and raises money each year! His team is called "Seth's Supporter's! I am very proud to be a part of His team, and it is never to early to start sending/taking those donations, hint, hint ;)!

Here Seth is pictured with his brother's, sister and all of his cousin's except for two! And of course being the little ham he is, he has his hand up for instant recognition! Happy Birthday, Seth Adam! I love you!

First Day of 3rd Grade- August 12, 2009

Summer could not have been over fast enough for Braden, okay me too...... It was a short summer for us with me hurting my ankle and all, way too many days cooped up inside and maybe not enough activities, even though he got to swim at least 2X per week at Grandma's, went to Iowa for a week, and went on a fishing trip to Lake Texoma! Come Wednesday morning, he was all SMILES and could not wait to get to the bus stop!
I caught this shot as he was walking out the door, yes I am a lazy Mom, I do not wash before wear!

Here he is all ready to go, the style this year is no backpack. I call it his Murse-man purse.

See, it looks like a purse!
Headed to the bus stop, with one last look at Mom. (I did not get a kiss this year)

There goes my 3rd grader, safe on the seat of the bus! He had a great 1st day of school and loves his new teacher Mrs. Hoffman. Homework starts Monday the 17th!

Start It Out Right Sunday- Week 9 (Yeah I Know It's Monday)

Yes, it is Monday, I know I'm late, but it has been a busy week! First of all we have had football practice every night this week from 6:15-8:30 and I am one tired Moma! Second of all, school started on Wednesday, so unless you are a friend on FB you have not even seen the back to school pictures, and thirdly and most importantly- I needed some time with the MAN in my life yesterday!

Jason does not even know I exist anymore except for the occasional meals of egg salad and Hamburger Helper that he eats ALONE. He does know I exists by the clean underwear, clean house and ran children! I know he exists by the kiss he gives me when he leaves at 6:30 in the morning, the paycheck and help with bathing the kids at 9 o'clock at night! That's pathetic, huh?

So, he planned a date for us on Sunday after church! Lunch at Texas Roadhouse, much needed conversation and then a movie! We saw the Time Traveler's Wife- now I must read the book, because I have so many unanswered questions!

So, I guess in a way I did Start my Week out Right by spending quality time with my husband and marriage!

Start It Out Right Sunday- Week 8

7 Sunday's! Yes, that is how many Sunday's I have missed church because of my ankle! And I have HATED every single minute of it! Well today, I started my week out right and got to go back to church! Hallelujah! Praise God! Blessed Be The Name! Thank You Jesus!

Jason and I got the final sermon on the current series called "Wired" ! The series is about the 7 gifts that God gives his believers in Romans Chapter 12. Yes, 7 facets that when put together properly work together, so that we can strive to be more like Jesus each day! As Christians we are blessed with these gifts, some with way more than others. These are the gifts:
Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Encouragement, Giving, Leadership, and Mercy.

On Tuesday, August 11, over 100 Tulsa Public School Teachers will be attending this series at our church. (streamlined for education purposes, of course) It is predicted that this will be a learning tool for teachers across the U.S. to show that students truly are wired differently and can be used to help teachers understand students better and know how they are wired.

For my Start It Out Right Sunday, I of course have already started by going to church today, but I plan on listening to the other 5 weeks of the sermon series that I have missed and to try to identify not only my own gift better, but also my children's. Today's sermon was on mercy and I really think I may listen to that once again because I think that one may belong to Braden.

The 4-Crow's try a New Dish- We Will Call it Hot Dog Squid!

One of my favorite blogs John Deere Mom featured this yesterday on her blog, she got it from this site, which got it from this site, which got it from this site and I'm quoting from her when she says she is sure it come from Kevin Bacon, LOL!

So, I started out with what Hot Dogs I had in the refrigerator....
....got the kids involved in threading spaghetti noodles through cut hot dogs.
This is what they looked like before cooked.
This is the "squid" in boiling water...

...boiled.

I added a little bit of Velveeta cheese!
The kid's loved it, Jason wasn't wild about it, but it was more of a "fun" food than a boring adult cuisine!
