Christy Nockel's New Album #LetItBeJesus Giveaway

For a couple of days now I have been listening to the soon to be released new album by Christy Nockels. "Let It Be Jesus" releases next Tuesday, April 28, 2015. It's one of those albums that you put in your stereo and just let the music invade your home throughout the day. Did I mention that it is a LIVE album. I feel like my home has become my church auditorium. Think about that for a second. Why shouldn't our homes be our constant worship centers. Seriously.

As far as a favorite song on this album, hmmmm.... I love them ALL but "My Anchor" is absolutely my favorite. Check out this live YouTube video.

For those of you who don't know who Christy Nockel's is...

As a worship leader for many years, she has been an integral part of Passion Conferences from its inception in 1997. She's seen first hand music sweep people into the presence of God in a powerful way. A pastor’s kid, who was born in Fort Worth and raised in Oklahoma, she grew up singing in church. She met her husband, Nathan, in 1993 at the Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Co. They recorded an independent record with fellow worship leader Charlie Hall under the name Sons & Daughters that led to an invitation from Louie Giglio to participate in the first Passion conference in Austin. Christy’s voice gained a national platform when she and Nathan formed the duo Watermark, recording four acclaimed albums before that musical season ended, paving the way for Christy’s solo career. In 2008, the couple moved to Atlanta to become part of Passion City Church where she serves on the worship team with sixstepsrecords labelmates Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill. The following year, Nockels released her acclaimed solo debut, Life Light Up and spent much of the next two years touring with Tomlin and Passion.

You can pre-order your very own dcopy of the album on iTunes now. One of my blessed readers is going to get their very own digital copy of Let It Be Jesus. Just fill out the easy Rafflecopter form below! Be sure you follow all of Christy's

Manic Drive CD Review & #Giveaway

There is nothing like a loooooong road trip over Fall Break to finally be able to get some good music bonding done! A full tank of gas, cruise control, and a paved road just calls for good tunes don't you agree? That is exactly what the kids and I did last week. One of the the CD's I threw in the travel bag was the just released album by Manic Drive- VIP. Our favorite Christian radio station loses its signal after the last hill before the toll booth on the way to Oklahoma City, I just hate when I am singing and praising and all of a sudden the beat and words fizzle out. This surely doesn't just happen to me. Does it? Anyway, the kids and I really got to jamming along with this Christian boy band. I honestly had never heard of them, but their music is fun, catchy, and I even let the kids turn up the volume a little too loud!

This is definitely an album that I want on my kids iPods. My favorite song on the album is "I Hide You Seek."

Check out this video out of their title track, VIP.

ABOUT THE BAND:
Manic Drive has been widely known as a Canadian band who always delivers a great show, but over the past few years and project releases, they have added to their extensive touring of Canadian and US markets multiple Billboard Top 10 & 20 singles on CHR & Christian Rock Radio. Manic Drive is clearly very intentional about reaching their generation and inspiring them to pursue a deeper walk with Christ and to get involved in changing the world they are inheriting. And they are uniquely equipped to do so. The band members, all in their early-mid twenties, have made sacrifices to pursue God’s call on their lives. Their life experience, spiritual maturity and ministry have opened doors to speak into the lives of their own generation and that is perhaps the most defining characteristic of this group of guys.

Be sure to check Manic Drive out on all their sites. This is definitely a band to follow!!

1 Girl Nation CD: Review/Giveaway- Closed

Oh be careful little ears what you hear. That may be a simple verse to a child's Sunday school song, but believe me, it does matter what our kids listen too. My daughter is 6 and her friend that we take to school and pick up daily is 4. We have been listening to a new CD this week in the car. I have to tell you, hearing them singing about being "Daddy's Girl" and "Living for Jesus while their Young" is certainly more appealing than some guy singing to them about a girl with pretty brown eyes with a magazine figure shaped like a bottle. Just my opinion. Of course I am the guilty mother that doesn't really always pay attention and know the lyrics to songs, just a few words. I MUST pay more attention.

Can I just say, I HAVE paid attention this week and LOVE 1 Girl Nation!!! I love that my girl loves them. I even received a text from our little friend's mom asking me what the Daddy song was- believe me this song will be your little/big girl's and husbands favorite!

"Landing in the space where One Direction meets TobyMac, 1 Girl Nation is an exciting blend of upbeat pop music, with lyrics that are totally focused on living life for God, even while you’re young. 1GN, as they’ve already been dubbed, stars Carmen, Kayli, Kelsey, Lauryn Taylor and Lindsey, five girls with a passion for telling their fans about Christ through their music. Their first single, “While We’re Young,” can be heard on radio stations across the country and their self-titled debut album is available now!"

Listen for yourself!

Not only did I get a copy to review, but I also get to bless one of my readers with their very own copy of the 1GN CD. This CD is for preteens, teens, and young adults (as well as parents, too!) Who wants it? Just say "ME" in a Disqus comment! Bonus entries are available and encouraged. You will definitely want to be following these girls on all their social media sites!

'Hear Me' by Kyle Sherman, releases 10/9- Review & #Giveaway

I am a testament to the crazy of God's work. I have told only a handful of how God closed a window in my family's life and opened a great door of service into HIS. The night before I ended my part time job this past August, I was getting my hair cut. I made a comment to my friend/hairdresser that I didn't feel led to serve/teach kids at my church because I was with children at my job. The next afternoon, God closed the window of my part time job. That evening, another friend from church called me asking if my husband and I would serve as small group leaders in the kindergarten area the following Sunday, which began the new church year.
Happy church year to us.
I became a Kindergarten Small Group Leader and my husband became a Synergy Back Door Security Guard!

I don't know what God's plan is for my family, it's all in His time. All I know is that I must obey and continue to follow his path. The story behind the album that I am reviewing is much like my own, it's so easy to do my own thing, but obviously in the situation above, God has a bigger plan.

The title track Hear Me, has to be my favorite, you can listen to it here. This album releases next Tuesday, October 9th. One of my readers is going to be blessed with their very own copy!
Easy entry on the Rafflecopter form.

Album Bio
"Fort Worth-based singer-songwriter Kyle Sherman recently signed on as the flagship artist to brand new label RayLynn Records, an opportunity that presented itself during a time period when a record deal wasn't even on his radar.

"It's crazy how God works," Kyle says. 'Five years ago, I pushed pretty hard to do my own thing as a singer-songwriter, but every well I approached would dry up. It clearly wasn't the right time." So Kyle continued on a path of leading worship, taking a full-time role as worship leader at Lifechurch.TV's Fort Worth campus under the leadership of renowned pastor/author Craig Groeschel.

Just 3-years later Kyle made it back to Nashville, pouring his heart into a microphone at Sony studio with veteran producer and country singer-songwriter Mark Collie making his first album. God is faithful. 'Hear Me', the result of those sessions, is an eclectic and authentic mix of rootsy, southern soul."

MIAMI VINEYARD LIVE CD Review & Giveaway

This album is just FUN!
I will tell you again and again and AGAIN how much we enjoy our music especially Christian music. So anytime I get a chance to review and offer to my readers an album, I jump at it. The MIAMI VINEYARD LIVE CD gives us favorites such as Holy Spirit Come, Lord Reign in Me, Breathe and How Great is Our God that "is filled with many flavors, from Latino claves to gospel two-step to funk and soul to delay-laden rock guitars of modern worship, yet they all work together seamlessly to create a new sound and voice that is authentic and refreshing."
I also LOVE that parts of the songs are bi-lingual.
You can certainly feel the presence of the Lord when you are listening to this LIVE album, I felt like I was worshiping with them!

Miami Live from Vineyard Resources on Vimeo.

Here is more about the CD:
"What happens when a group of 20+ musicians and 10+ songwriters steeped deep in their own musical traditions of Black Gospel, Latin, Caribbean, and Anglo come together to create a new tradition and sound? What happens when the fusion of Black, Anglo, Latino, Caribbean, and Cuban voices unite together to worship in one voice? Among the 2000 people that attend the Miami Vineyard Community Church, there are over a hundred singers, instrumentalists and songwriters that make up its eclectic worship ministry. For one night, these musicians joined together in worship and invited the church to document the sound that is uniquely MIAMI VINEYARD LIVE."
Now, who wants this to add this CD to their collection? All you have to do is fill out the easy Rafflecopter entry form. The only mandatory entry is for you to leave me a comment telling who your favorite Christian artist is.

Vineyard Music: I Love Your Presence- Live from Phoenix Review & Giveaway (Digital Download)

My family loves music, especially Christian music. I am pretty sure I have told my readers this before and probably will again and again! We got the opportunity to review the above CD via digital download and loved it as well.

From the website: "We believe that the Vineyard continues to have a unique voice and quality in the broader Church's experience of worship. We believe that the songs, words and expression of our worship are different because they are informed and infused with Vineyard core values -- intimacy, accessibility and authenticity. Our music is not written from within a vacuum; it comes from the trenches of local Vineyard church ministry as they seek to experience engaging the Kingdom of God in their local communities. Our founder, John Wimber, said that our worship leaders should be ministers first and musicians second. We still believe this is a vital emphasis for us. We make it our aim to instill this servant's heart deep into our Vineyard worship community."

Vineyard Music is not a music company, rather a non-profit worship ministry. They just want to help the local church experience God rather than be profit driven. Powerful, huh?

Who would like to have a digital copy of this album? One of our readers will be blessed with their very own copy. All you have to do is fill out the easy Rafflecopter form below.
