Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's Link Up: Day 6, Charley Gets a Glimpse of the True Meaning of Christmas

Charley decided that he needed to get a glimpse at what Kaybrie was playing so intensely with these past few days.
The TRUE meaning of Christmas.

"See, a virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel," which means, "God with us." Matthew 1:23

Hallmark Book Giveaway: What's Shakin' in Snowflake City?

My favorite gift every Christmas to give is a book.
Not just any book either, a Hallmark book.
This year will mark the 8th installment of the Snowglobe family, the Snowfarkles.
I give these books to my Moma, my sister and my sister in law, and of course keep one for my family to enjoy every Christmas Season.

This holiday series from Hallmark is written by Cheryl Hawkinson and Illustrated by Mike Esberg.
"What's Shakin' in Snowflake City?" is all about the weather in Snowflake where the Snowfarkles live, but what exactly causes such crazy snowstorms? Can the Snowfarkles guess before Santa arrives?

You can purchase your own copy of this book and many more gifts at your local Hallmark store or online at Hallmark.com. There is currently a special in-store offer, while supplies last on this particular book that if you purchase 3 Hallmark cards, the price is $3.95- a savings of $6!
(boxed cards and gift enclosures do not count toward the 3 cards)

The 4-Crow's along with Hallmark have teamed up to give one of our readers our favorite Christmas gift this year. Their very own copy of "What's Shakin' in Snowflake City?".

Disclosure: All opinions stated are my own and based upon my own personal experience. This giveaway is sponsored by Hallmark. I will receive no compensation for this post. The giveaway ends at 12:01 AM on December 15, 2011. The winner will be selected through Rafflecopter and will be contacted via email.
U.S. residents only.

Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's Link Up: Day 5, Charley Takes a Ride on a Big Green Tractor

...and I can take you for a ride on my big green tractor
We can go slow or make it go faster
Down through the woods and out to the pasture
'Long as I'm with you it really don't matter...

Yes the American Country Awards were on last night. Jason Aldean must have performed or won something.
I only got to see some of it and had to DVR the rest, we had basketball practice.
Charley knows my kids well.

#Smurftastic Party

While brother was celebrating his 11th birthday this past weekend in Bedlam style with five friends, Miss Kaybrie got to Smurf it up with her own party and celebrate her GIFT for HIS birthday-
The SMURF's Movie!!
She invited a few friends over to join her watch the movie, color, play games and eat SmurfStyle!
The event was coordinated with the help of Crowdtap, who provided the links for the games, color sheets and some of the fantastic ideas for the party!
We really had a Smurfalicious great time. We served white cupcakes with blue icing on pink plates of course and Smurfberry Punch (Hawaiian Punch- Berry Blue Typhoon)! The 11 year old boys in attendance at the FOOTBALL party were more interested in the Smurf food than the food I bought for their party! LOL!
As an added bonus, we even had Movie Props of Smurfs loaned to me by a friend. The kids felt like they were at a real live movie premier. They had so much fun posing with the figures.
Okay, Okay, I will show you the pictures now!

The Smurfalicious Cupcakes on the Cupcake Stand surrounded by Smurfs
A closer look at those cupcakes- Papa Smurf is on the lookout!
Awww...look at our guests striking a pose with our movie props!! C-ute!
The 11 year old boys getting in on the action!! What is it with boys and blue?
Oh, they just thought they were being silly...
I love catching a picture when they don't know it!
The big boys had the table, so the girls got the rug. They didn't care!
Little Miss Hostess with the Mostest!
Striking a Pose with the Smurfs!
(Believe me I have tons more pics, but I don't want to overload you)
Don't forget to go see our Elf on a Shelf, Charley & Smurfette- he didn't get left out!
Everyone had a great time at the party and we can't wait to do one again!

Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's Link Up: Day 4- Charley wants Hot Cocoa

The 4-Crow's now have 12 gifts under the tree!

Oh Charley, you silly little elf. Smurfette? Really?
I guess he was a little jealous that he wasn't invited to the #Smurftastic party that we had last night and wanted in on some fun as well...
I will be telling you more about the Smurf party in a later post. It was so much fun!

Cooper and Me and the Winter Adventure: Book Review & Giveaway

The 4-Crow's love books. I think if you have followed me long enough you already know that though. when given the opportunity to review a children's book, I jumped at it. Kaybrie will be five next month and is in Pre-K, she is starting to recognize sight words. Sight words is a whole new way of reading for me. I was a phonics girl. Now don't get me wrong, I like the combination of both. Cooper & Me and the Winter Adventure uses phonics!!! I love this book, it rhymes, teaches life lessons, and did I mention the illustrations are just beautiful.

Cooper is just so "DOG"goned cute!

The mission, vision and journey behind the Cooper and Me books is a story in itself. "In 2010, 11-year-old Alexa Peters, along with her mother Monique Peters, found a meaningful way to turn her passion and love for writing and drawing into an opportunity to “give back” to other kids The mission is to both entertain young children and help them gain emotional resilience as they navigate the challenges of everyday living." Happy Hearts Fund and The Lustgarten Foundation and Pancreatic Cancer are the two charities that Alexa and Monique give back to through these books. $1 of every Winter Adventure book sold will go to advance research & treatment of pancreatic cancer, via the Lustgarten Foundation (http://www.lustgarten.org/)

Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's Link Up: Day 2, Sorry Charley

Day 2 of Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's!
Charley is very happy with our nest, we finally decorated our tree last night- well the kids and Daddy Crow did while listening to Justin Bieber's Christmas CD, it's YUMMY!
I baked cupcakes.
Moma Crow has the Bieber Christmas Fever!
The garage door is fixed, yay!
I think the reportings back to Santa were A-OK for yesterday!
The kids found Charley in Daddy's recliner this morning.
All we can figure out is, he knows we are huge Arkansas Razorback fans and he can't figure out why we have OU and OSU cupcakes in our house.
He is rebelling I'm afraid and wants to watch the Hogs beat #8 Connecticut in basketball tonight instead of the  Bedlam 11', Braden is turning 11 party we are having.
Sorry Charley!!

Elf on a Shelf with The 4-Crow's Link Up: Day 1

Photobucket

This is Charley.
Charley is special.
He is really not a "Elf on the Shelf", but he is our version.
He is over 40 years old and was given to us by our dear friend and ballet teacher Ms. Pam last year.
He came with a box of Whitmans Chocolate. You already love him right?
We named him Charley because her husband's name is Charlie. He is a hero. He just returned from Iraq this past Sunday.
Do you have an Elf on the Shelf? Is he mischievous and does he report to Santa on a daily basis on all of your kid's activities? I think Charley even reports on my naughty and nice deeds!
This Christmas The 4-Crow's are encouraging our readers to do a daily link up and show us what your Elf is up to. Won't you link up so we can see what your elf is doing around your house?
This is how my kids found Charley this morning. We put our tree up last night- December 1st with full intentions of getting it decorated. The garage door broke and DRAMA for two hours occurred.
So Charley decided to do something about it!

Grab the button above. Just copy and paste, I have the html code from photobucket but I can't get it into the little box thingy! Help!
I can't wait to see what your elf is up to!
This will be going on every day until December 24th!
