Living My Teenage Dreams in My Housewife Years

Can you think of a better birthday present than going to see the two best combined boy bands from your teen years in one center on one night? Not me! And certainly not my BFF Angie the birthday girl! We almost didn't get to go, but when Groupon ran a Super Duper sale on tickets- I bought them! Yeah, I'm a thrifty birthday gift shopper! Angie doesn't mind a bit! :P

New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys aka NKOTBSB came to the BOK Center on July 17th and we were so there. Our seats were terrible and guess what- they moved us to Suite Level! Our seats ended up being amazing! The concert AMAZEBALLS!!!

Angie and I before the concert!

OMGrapeJelly- here they are, all 9 of them!!! Scream......

AJ from the BSB
Donnie, oh Donnie my Donnie!

Donnie came into the crowd! Check out how close we were, just a little closer...and I would have. What would have I  have done? Hmmm...

And as if you need an excuse to know exactly who Donnie sang to during the concert, just watch this video. Listen real close. Bet you can't guess who is screaming like a teenage girl in the background!

P.S. My Mother-In-Law begged me not to put this video on my blog because I went to the concert after five days of being on antibiotic and still had a sinus infection and still MADE myself have fun. I told her had it been Elvis she would have done the same thing.

An Early Birthday Present: A Miley Mistake or Lesson?

Oh dear, what have I done? Braden heard that Miley was coming to town in early Summer and knowing how much he loves Hannah Montana I made the decision to purchase tickets for him as an "early" birthday present for him to go to his first concert. Here is my review of the concert. Rated PG13 for suggestiveness! Hannah has Grown Up! I am quite sure many parents of the young children there were very disappointed! I love her music, but can 16 please be 16? I had to have the talk with him on the way home about the way he saw her dance really wasn't appropriate. Just hoping and praying that those words of mine went into that beautiful head of his and erased some of those images in that growing mind of his! Over all though, like I said the songs were good and even on his favorite songs I could not get him to get up and dance with me, so looking back, I am praying that is a GREAT sign! ;) ;)

Jason and Braden after the concert in front of the beautiful BOK center!

My fave of the night, when she was lifted by cables across the crowd singing I love Rock N Roll!

Love this song-Girls Night Out!

Close up on the screen singing her hit from her upcoming movie The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks, and below playing the piano of the same song.

My 1st Rock Concert and We Rocked It!

I'm an 80's child, and with graduating from H.S. in 1992, I did sneak in my share of Def Leppard, Poison and Bon Jovi- and I mean I SNUCK and LISTENED! I don't think my parents ever knew what I listened to with my friends while we drug main and during sleepovers. I was not a wild child by far, I believed up until, hmmm maybe the year I married Jason that my Daddy had spies everywhere, and I'm even a college graduate with ten years of banking behind me and two kiddos.

My DH, Jason, also shares my love for these groups........he graduated in 1989! So, when we found out that Def Leppard, Poison, & Cheap Trick were coming to the BOK Center in Tulsa, I jumped all over those tickets with the hopes of jumping all over Bret Michaels, LOL! We went with Jason's best friend from high school, Tom and his wife Angie. Tom and Jason have somehow remained best friends after 20 years, God only knows how! It has to be God, because Angie has become my best friend as well!

Me & Angie- both 1992 graduates, aren't we hot momma's!
Warning to our Husbands: Keep very tight leashes on us!

Jason, Tom & Angie

Cheap Trick

Poison

Bret Michaels

Bootylicious Babe!
How could I not put this shot in? Those are designer jeans w/ studs on them! Fitting for such a STUD!

Joe Elliot w/ Def Leppard

Joe Elliot & Phil Collen
Def Leppard

Rick Allen- the most phenomenal drum player ever!
We had a Rockin' great time! I don't think I have ever sang, danced and moved so much in my life! My ribs and rear actually hurt the next day! My 1st Rock Concert was one I will never forget!

GNO @ Riverwalk w/ Francesca Battistelli

My kiddos are out of town this week, Braden on his annual fishing trip with my Daddy and Kaybrie with my Moma, so I'm getting a little R&R-hmm, I think it takes more than two days to figure out exactly what that is! Anyway, last night was the kickoff of the KXOJ's (local Christian radio station) Summer Concert Series at the Riverwalk in Jenks and the featured artist were Jonny Diaz and Francesca Battistelli! Anyone who has followed The 4-Crow's blog for long has heard Francesca, I love, love, love her music!
So, guess where my friend Angie and I went last night?

Check us Out! "The Golden Girls"

(that's our ringtone for each other)

The Arkansas River is so pretty!

I love this picture, talk about Spirit filled, over 2000 people in attendance. See the girl in the background-Wow!

You know, Francesca reminds me a little bit of Miley Cyrus in her looks, this girl has a bright future ahead of her, and is a great role model for all young girls and even Mom's like me! May God Bless her and all who come into contact with her music!

And yes, I paid the $15 parking ticket to the City of Jenks! Honestly, though, when at least 500 other cars are parked the same way, I really feel that an injustice has been done. Is the city just trying to make a month end quota off of a free concert? Thank you for letting me get that off of my chest! I love the Constitution of the United States of America!
