Just Trying to Find My Way Like in Nemo

Lately, I feel just like Nemo. Out in a big ocean. Trying to find my way. Hitting every obstacle imaginable with my 7th grader and 1st grader. Only my obstacle is parenthood, so maybe I am really like Marlin, Nemo's Daddy, and my children are Nemo and Dory. Do I sink or do I swim? I must "just keep swimming", so that my babies also know to do the same. With a new school year comes many changes. Teachers, testing, new schools, and new rules. My opinion often times doesn't matter and cannot be changed. I must not allow my children to hear my frustrations or become a victim to them. However, I am my children's advocate and I will do what is best for them. Whether it be 3 minutes between classes in middle school, a no back pack rule, or the fact that your 6yr old daughter tells her pediatrician that she is bored and doesn't want to go to school because all they do is Kindergarten work.

Funny how an animated movie can relate so much to life isn't it? I was asked by Connect Your Home to watch and review the Blu-Ray copy of Pixar's Finding Nemo in anticipation of the release of Finding Dory. Finding Dory is an upcoming 2015 computer-animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and the sequel to the 2003 Pixar film Finding Nemo. Andrew Stanton, who directed the original film, will return as director. The film is scheduled to be released on November 25, 2015. It has also been confirmed that characters from the first film will appear in the sequel, including Dory, Nemo, Marlin and the Tank Gang. My family cannot wait until this long anticipated film comes out.

Connect Your Home is an award winning, authorized retailer of the top home service organizations in the nation, including: DISH Network, Time Warner Cable, ADT, HughesNet, and many more. They are a privately owned company that aspires to keep every home across the country connected, and currently service 90,000 consumers and counting.
So, if I come to you and say:

"Would somebody please just give me directions?"
Don't mock me and say in return: "Would somebody please just give me directions?"
Because "I'm serious!"
I really don't need your "Blah-blah-blah, me-me-blah! Blah-blah, blah-blah, me-me-me!"

I really am a Mom trying to find my way, with the best interest of my children at heart.

It was family movie night again at my house this past Saturday.
Once again we were able to enjoy a movie with three of our favorite things: God, Family and Sports.
Is there anything else to life than those three things on the weekends? Not at my nest.
My husband is telling everyone about this movie. He loved it. We all loved it, but if Daddy Crow is singing praises, you know its good.  It was awesome to see familiar faces in this movie and to see how they come together for the glory of God to Ring the Bell.

I am so excited that I get to help give away a copy of Ring the Bell to one of my readers.
Who wants it? Main entry question is who will you watch this movie with?
Enter on the easy Rafflecopter form below, bonus entries are available!

About Ring the Bell:
Ring The Bell shares the story of a slick, big city sports agent Rob Decker who seems to have it all. This is Our Time DVD Review & Giveaway

What is God asking me to BE?

Wow! This has been my discovery year. My word of the year has been FAMILY. Never did I imagine just four months into the year the challenges, adventures, and doors God would put before me. One of the things that I will share is that taking a stand for what you believe in, even if it means walking away from something that you love, you will probably find that, that love wasn't right for you after all. There truly is a season for everything. Vague, I know, but to truly BE who God wants me to be one of the decisions I have had to recently make is that I will no longer be writing as Mrs. Hart at The RHOK
What God is asking me to be right now, is a reflection upon HIM in all I do, say, portray and write. I am accountable to Him for all of my actions and any actions linked to my name and my family's from this moment forward. Strong yes, but just like the disclosures on my blog, I stand behind and only recommend what I believe is good and family oriented. I am not saying I am perfect or holier than thou, far from it. I am saved by grace, just like everyone else.
As you all know, I love bringing home family movies into my home. A time to put away the electronics and a time to sit and enjoy each others company. We had the opportunity to review this movie at the perfect time. I'm not going to give too much away, but just know, This is Our Time couldn't have came at a better time.
I hope that it also comes at a good time for one of my readers.
Who wants a copy of their own? Enter on the Rafflecopter form below.

About This Is Our Time:

The movie tells the interwoven stories of Luke (T.J. Dalrymple) and AlĂ© (Erin Bethea), who marry right after school and move to India to serve as missionaries for Embrace A Village, a ministry that cares for those afflicted with leprosy and their families; aspiring financier Catherine (Kate Cobb), who joins a prestigious financial institution determined to make an impact on corporate America; Ryder (Matthew Florida), who lands an impressive job in social media and can’t wait to use the powerful medium for a greater good; and Ethan (Shawn-Caulin Young,) seemingly the odd man out, who struggles to find his God-given-purpose and feels sidelined by God.

"What they all come to learn is that it never really was their time,” Arnold said. “It always was, always is, God’s time.”

This Is Our Time is presented by Pure Flix
Releases on DVD and Blu-Ray on Tuesday on April 16, 2013. It will be available nationwide at Family Christian Stores and most Christian online and brick-and-mortar retail stores nationwide.

Abel's Field Review & #Giveaway

Bullying, abandonment, perseverance and knowing that no matter what happens, no matter how dark it gets He (God) is with you is what stood out to me in Abel's Field.

I think I tell you every time I review a movie, how important I feel that it is to bring good quality family films into our homes.  Good quality movies that you don't have to fast forward through, that every member can watch, and a life lesson or four can be learned from. Yes, there are some movies I post on here that we might watch, but if you notice. I never elaborate on. We had the opportunity to watch the above movie this week and one of my readers is also going to get their very own copy.

About Abel's Field
Left motherless by tragedy and abandoned by his father, high school senior Seth McArdle (Samuel Davis) faces enormous pressure as he strives to support his little sisters. At school, he endures the daily bullying of the football team. But fighting back only finds him singled out for punishment and assigned to an after-school work detail under the supervision of the reserved groundskeeper, Abel (SOUL SURFER’S Kevin Sorbo). Much to his surprise, Seth discovers that Abel may be the only one who truly understands his struggles. As dark times lure Seth toward desperate measures, the reluctant Abel may be the one person who can point him back toward the light.

'Game of Your Life' Synopsis

When industrious high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a prized scholarship to the prestigious Digital Institute of Game Design (DIGD), his future breaks wide open. The opportunity to study under gaming legend Marcus Bentton and alongside the country’s most creative minds will certainly propel him into a successful career as a video game designer. That is, if he can pass the infamous freshman project that eliminates more than half of the class within the first three months.

Paired with brilliant yet socially awkward teammates Phillip and Donald, the trio persuades Sara Ramirez – a determined and striking team leader with whom Zach has a history (and possibly a future) – to join their team. Working off-campus in the teched-out Lincoln Alley loft, the four set out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive game. But as the group becomes entrenched in the project, Zach learns that his father Billy, a widower, is facing growing financial woes at home. To help out, Zach accepts an opportunity to work directly with Marcus Bentton on a secretive side project that seems too good to be true. The effort requires nearly all of Zach’s time and energy, which he should be devoting to the project. Struggling to keep it together, Zach is torn between his responsibility to his team, his admiration for Bentton and a chance to help his father.

Everything comes to a breaking point when Zach’s team threatens to remove him from the group and the deceptive truth behind Bentton’s project comes to light. With the guidance of Professor Abbie Lambert, Zach must make a decision that not only affects his future, but the lives and livelihoods of the people around him as well. It’s a revealing story that recognizes the magnitude behind the choices we make and the importance loyalty plays in making good decisions.
