Some Summer Time in 2011

I can't believe Summer has gone by soooo fast. August starts in a few days and believe me it has been nothing but HOT HOT HOT! Football practice starts on August 1st so I really feel like our Summer is officially OVER! Back to practice 4 days a weeks until the big boys start their games and then 3 times a week until October! 

Oh October, have I ever told you that I L-O-V-E you!!!

So with me working my kids feel like they haven't got to do anything. Poor babies. Poor Mom. LOL!

I've made a point of taking two vacation days to do nothing but spend with them! 

That way they can say that they did get Some Summer in 2011!

We went to Incredible Pizza on July 8th!

I took them to Blue Hole on July 26th with The RHOK-Blue Hole is located 7 miles East of Salina, OK on Kenwood Road.

 I love how Kaybrie tells everyone exactly where it is, only she calls it Ken's Road!

(she's a little too Barbie obsessed I'm afraid)

They even got to do LOTS of swimming in Grandma's pool and a trip to the splash pad and local park!

But Summer isn't TOTALLY over, just because football is here. Is it? Dear God, Please send some nice 88 degree temps and 15 inches of slow rain and I'll be one very happy Moma! Thank you.

My Neck of The Woods

If you have been reading about our nest this week you know that there have been a few happenings.

1. Moma Crow has been sick- yeah I mentioned that somewhere. I seem to be immune to every first round of antibiotics the doctor gives me. So I am now on round two and I think this one is going to work. Another sinus infection. YUCK!

2. NKOTBSB- Yes, Moma Crow got her moves on and partied like it was 1989 on Sunday night, go see Monday's post and listen to me screaming like a teenage girl!

3. The good thing. Football camp ended and we get a two week break before football practice begins!

4. Daddy Crow got a very pink eye and no one else in the family got it!

We discovered this week that Kaybrie is quite handy with scissors. It seems she has a favorite pair in her classroom and if she doesn't get them, well let's just say she didn't get sent to the office this time and she is still in the Lutheran School and I am still a teacher there. Her grandmother before knowing the scissor story directed her into fashion design. Check out her creation. When all else fails around our nest she can produce us waterproof clothing out of Wal-Mart sacks.

Oh, and in case I do lose my teaching job...

it appears that my son has a way with my students!

Living My Teenage Dreams in My Housewife Years

Can you think of a better birthday present than going to see the two best combined boy bands from your teen years in one center on one night? Not me! And certainly not my BFF Angie the birthday girl! We almost didn't get to go, but when Groupon ran a Super Duper sale on tickets- I bought them! Yeah, I'm a thrifty birthday gift shopper! Angie doesn't mind a bit! :P

New Kids on the Block/Backstreet Boys aka NKOTBSB came to the BOK Center on July 17th and we were so there. Our seats were terrible and guess what- they moved us to Suite Level! Our seats ended up being amazing! The concert AMAZEBALLS!!!

P.S. My Mother-In-Law begged me not to put this video on my blog because I went to the concert after five days of being on antibiotic and still had a sinus infection and still MADE myself have fun. I told her had it been Elvis she would have done the same thing.

Evidently not #OklaHot enough to fry an egg on pavement at 108* though!

#OklaHot enough to buckle the pavement on the Cimmaron Turnpike on our own Oklahoma toll road's though.. Hmmm, our taxpayer's dollars at work there, huh? That's pretty #OklaHot if you ask me!

Personally, I'll just sit back enjoy my $.34 lime ice- yes, the Sonic at 51st and 145th in Broken Arrow knew exactly what I was talking about when I ordered and continue to work on my tan after work and enjoy documenting the many milestones that my children make this summer such as this one!
