Today's Post...

...is at where else but

I think I will put some of it on The 4-Crow's as well, after all it's my post and my first official book review!

Last August we welcomed my friend Michelle as The RHOK's first guest post writer. If you don't remember this post, Too Far South, then you absolutely must read it again or go read it for the first time!

And now, with extreme happiness for my friend, I bring to you her first book, a pirate novella,  Revenge of the Siren Song, published on November 20, 2010.

Oh, you thought I was going to put the entire post on this blog. Ha Ha. Guess you will have to head on over and read what Mrs. Hart had to say! And don't forget to follow the links and congratulate Michelle!

In My Neck of The Woods- My Fit

The RHOK

See this?

Here, let me get in a little closer...

Yes.

That is my $120 Chi Flat Iron.
and YES is is broken.
I did it while throwing a MOMMY fit. Have you ever done that before? You know when you tell the kid three simple instructions.

Get the swimbag. Put your swimsuit in it. Then grab the two swimsuits on my bed.

Believe me next time I will throw won't throw the hairbrush on the tile floor and do it myself because the life of my Hot Pink Leopard Chi was not worth a Mommy tantrum and NO I did not feel better and still want to throw up over my actions. I have begged for forgiveness, understand that I am human, and praise God I am saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and will now have to work an extra 14 hours somewhere to have straight hair again!
Thank you Hot Pink Leopard Chi-you were the best 4 years of my hair's life!

Now before you commit me, head on over to The RHOK and let us know what is going on
In Your Neck of the Woods!

*Disclosure- no human being was the target of the fit, only the tile floor and no four letter words came out of my pretty, little big mouth!

Father's Day 2011

Happy Father's Day to all the men out there that have influenced a child's life whether it be by birth or as a mentor! The positive role a MAN makes in a child's life really does matter! Thank you Jason Crow for making a difference in our children's life each day- I love you!

Jason, Braden & Kaybrie- their annual photo, for some reason posing just doesn't cut it anymore!
The kid's didn't pick out cards this year, instead I had them fill out these cute little questionnaire's...
Daddy Crow really enjoyed their answers!

I just had to share this little guy- no he's not a CROW! But he paid a visit anyway at Grandma Crow's House. Isn't he a beauty. But we aren't gonna feed him, there anyway. That fence is poolside.

Braden Goes to Basketball Camp

The Tulsa 66rs are hosting a "FREE" basketball camp at Academy Sports and Outdoor on June 11th and 18th and my boy is participating! I'm such a great Moma for making him get out into the heat and learn him some ball playing skills! Yep, he's gonna make his Moma some $ one of these days in one of these sports!

The Group Shot- Braden is behind the red headed girl in the green shirt!

There is my boy- back left!

Awww, look he is paying attention to the Coach! That's him on the left with his back to us!

The good news, he won the HUSTLE award this past Saturday and he won a pennant. He has one more day of camp left. Yeppers, their giving away basketballs at the next one!

(Thanks Tulsa 66ers for sending me the pictures, since I was otherwise detained at a baby shower in the air conditioning and also a special thanks to my BFF's DH for taking and spending quality time with our first born children so that they might one day really make us millions, we might share!)

In My Neck of The Woods- The Crafty Crow Strikes Again

The RHOK
Ha Ha!
I kind of like that...
The Crafty Crow.
It's kind of got a cutesy little ring to it.
So, if you are my family or friend you know if I supposed to give you a gift you usually see it on Facebook or receive it about a month to two weeks before its due date. Yep, that's how I roll.
My friend Angie and I decided that we/our infant room are throwing a first time mom/friend/teacher at our school a baby shower. It also helps that I was chosen by Vocalpoint to host one of the Pampers Little Miracle Mission Showers between June 4-June 18!
We are having the shower this next Saturday, June 11th for Baby Seth!
Now I get to show off a few of the things I have made- maybe next week I can show you how the entire shower wrapped up!!

A Wordle for the table, that doubles as a gift & decoration for Baby Seth's room.

A Diaper Cake- my first one! Too cute to use! Table decoration & gift, and emergency diaper use, I'm sure!

Now, what is going on in your neck of the wood? Link up at The RHOK and tell/show us!

In My Neck of The Woods

Hello blogosphere...guess you are wondering what has been going on in our neck of the woods aka our nest, since I haven't been keeping you informed. I really do have a several good excuses.

#1 I was sicker than I have ever been sick in my life. Bronchitis, Sinusitis, and earaches like you wouldn't believe. I missed TWO days of work, and am still on meds.  Miserable!!

#2 Last week was Braden's last week of school. We were a little busy.

#3 We were a little storm aware here in Oklahoma. BTW if you haven't signed up for the Recovery/MILK software at The RHOK yet you need to.We have only 100 copies to give away!

Now, I will show you how we officially kicked off our SUMMER...
and no you will not see my sunburn!
We did it Lake Texoma style at Little Glasses Resort!
(very windy, very gross and stirred up if I might add- I'm a spoiled pool dweller-LOL)

Now its your turn. Nosy RHOK'in Housewives want to know all over the nation what has been going on in your neck of the woods. Link up! And while linking up don't forget to buy your ticket to our next RHOK Out on June 25th! It's guaranteed to be FUN!!

In My Neck of The Woods- Public Service Announcement: FRAUD

On Monday May 16, I arrived home at approximately 4pm. I went to check my mail and bring my trashcan that was by the street to the house-our trash pickup is on Mondays and Thursdays here in BA. When I got the can to the side of the house I looked down and noticed a bunch of crumpled envelopes. BA trash doesn't take trash unless it is in a trash sack. Drives me crazy. I reached down and after further inspection realized they belonged to local residents. They all had stamps and return addresses, had been slit opened. Some were obviously bills, a graduation announcement and one from out of state. I called the BA police and they sent an officer out.

Of course fingerprints cannot be lifted off of an envelope. There were 10 envelopes dropped in my trashcan. I of course knew exactly what this was, having had 10 years of bank management experience in the past, and have dealt with this before in the branches. Identity theft at its worse. What makes this even harder is that the BA police had to call the Wagoner County Sheriff out to contact these people, because even though they have a BA address and live 8 blocks or so from me, they aren't annexed w/ the city of BA- poor folks.

How many times do people have to be told use online banking or go to your nearest mailing station and physically walk your mail inside to a box. Very tragic. This is a Federal Crime folks, do not steal things from mailboxes, do not mail personal information from mailboxes, it takes months even years to get these things straightened out!
